MLS And Player’s Union Agree To New 5-Year CBA

It may have taken months, but the league and players have come to an agreement on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement, one that will cover the next five years.
Speaking through a media conference call, MLScommissioner Bob Garber, Players Union’s Executive Director Bob Foose and Director of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service George Cohen announced the new deal which will go into effect immediately.
“It will set the stage for a new relationship and we hope very a productive relationship between MLS and players,” MLS commissioner Don Garber said during a conference call. “It’s time to get focused on the task at hand, which is building soccer in this country.” @Goal
